Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a measure for preventing the excess insertion of an ultrasonic wave probe in the case of obtaining of an ultrasonic tomographic image by inserting the ultrasonic wave probe into a testee body. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic tomographic device having the ultrasonic wave probe 4 which has plural juxtaposed ultrasonic vibrator transducers 4B and can drive a part of the respective ultrasonic vibrator transducers 4B and a monitor 8 which displays the ultrasonic tomographic images by the outputs obtd. from this ultrasonic wave probe 4 is provided with a means for displaying the image 10 indicating the position of the drive ultrasonic vibrator transducers 4B with respect to all the ultrasonic vibrator transducers 4B of the above- mentioned ultrasonic wave probe 4 in one region of the display surface 8A of the above-mentioned monitor 8.
