FLAMEPROOF DUST CONTROL MAT

PURPOSE:To obtain the mat for dust control which has flame-retardant performance and dust control performance in combination by incorporating flame retardant-contg. high-tenacity regenerated cellullose formed of a flame retardant- contg. dope into mat pile yarn. CONSTITUTION:This fiber is produced by incorporating the flame retardant into the dope at the time of producing the regenerated cellullose (generally known as a polynosic fiber) obtd. by a low-acid bath spinning method. Flame retardance is imparted to the polynosic fiber in this way and the impartation of the excellent flame retardance to this fiber is possible as well even if the mat is subjected to iterative washing and regenerating. A dust adsorbent is effectively adsorbed and held on the surface of this fiber if tin flame-retardant polynosic fiber is selected as the fibrous substrate and the dust adsorbent is applied or impregnated on or in the fiber. The excellent dust control performance is obtd. and the flame-retardant performance of the mat treated with the dust adsorbent is greatly improved.
