PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE:To decrease the power consumption to a great extent by reducing the stray capacity between an X and a Y electrode through formation of the Y electrode on an insulative substance layer. CONSTITUTION:An X electrode 12 covered with a dielectric substance layer 13 is formed on a rear face base board 11 of glass, and thereover a stripe-form insulative substance layer 14 is furnished in such a way as perpendicularly intersecting the X electrode 12, and further thereover a Y electrode 15 covered with a dielectric substance layer 16 is formed. A front face base board 17 of glass equipped at the surface with phosphor 18 is installed as confronting the rear face base board 11, followed by sealing airtightly, and a rare gas is encapsulated in it. Thus a plasma display panel is fabricated.
