SAFETY DEVICE FOR CONSTRUCTION HEAVY MACHINE

PURPOSE:To surely detect the presence of a person or an article in a dangerous area by using two different kinds of sensors, that is, a sensor for detecting only a human body and a sensor for both human body and article in combination, and to enhance the effect of preventing danger by informing that a person or an article are present in the dangerous area. CONSTITUTION:A control section 4 receives outputs from a first sensor 2 provided in the rear section of a construction heavy machine, for detecting only a human body, a second sensor 3 provided in the bottom part of one side surface of a swivel member 1a, for detecting both human body and article, and a detector-transmitter 7 for detecting an entrance into a working area for defining a surface-like or line-like invisible regulation line 10 between posts 8, 9 which are opposed to each other in the vicinity of the construction heavy machine. The control section 4 is connected to a display section 5 composed of an alarm device using display lamps such as LEDs or a voice system and provided in a drive cabin.
