Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To realize the prevention of a material leakage, while suppressing the equipment from becoming a large size by providing a pressing means for sealing the part between a container and an extruding tool by utilizing excess force of a main ram. CONSTITUTION:A billet B is loaded in a container 1, and when a main cylinder 6 is operated and a pushing ram 4 advances, the billet B is allowed to pass through an extruding tool 2, and an extruded material A of a prescribed cross section shape is formed. At the time point when length of the billet becomes short to some extent, a cylinder 10 contained in a crosshead 7 is operated, extrusion of the rear face of a container tire 1a is started by a rod 10a, and seal force between the container 1 and the extruding tool 2 is reinforced. In such a way, in all the extrusion processes extending from the start to the ending of extrusion, the material leakage can be prevented.
