DYEING METHOD FOR BAKED COATING FILM

PURPOSE:To maintain fastness of a baked coated film and to impart the particular hue of dye on the coated film by coating the base plate with baking type coating and heating it at a temp. lower than the baking temp. of the baking type coating in a time shorter than the baking time thereof and imparting the prescribed dye liquid to the coated film and performing baking at the baking temp. or higher of the coating in the baking time or more. CONSTITUTION:The following steps are successively performed. (A) The base material is coated with a baking type coating. (B) The coated film is heated at the temp. lower than the baking temp. of the baking type coating by 10-60 deg.C and in the time shorter than the baking time thereof by 5-60 minutes. (C) The coated film obtained in the stage (B) is imparted with dye liquid in which dye is dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent. (D) Baking is performed at the temp. not lower than the baking temp. of baking type coating at the baking timer or more thereof. Thereby in the stage (B), large parts of the solvent in the coating is volatilized but hardening is scarcely performed. When the coated film is imparted with the dye liquid in the stage (C), swelling an dissolution, etc., are caused by the organic solvent in the dye liquid on the surface of the coated film and dye is infiltrated and mixed into/with the surface of the coated film. Thus, tightly dyed hardened film is obtained by baking it in the step (D).
