PURPOSE:To obtain a solid lubrication type deep groove type ball bearing with high lubricity and reliability by increasing the strength of a retainer made of high polymeric material. CONSTITUTION:A ring shaped retainer 5 holds a plurality of rolling balls 4 at equal intervals in the circumferential direction in a pocket 52 in the rolling grooves 21 and 31 between the inner ring 2 and outer ring 3 of a ball bearing 1, and the retainer 5 is constituted of two ring-shaped retainer parts 5A and 5B arranged in the axial direction. A plurality of pockets 52 are formed in one retainer part 5A, and a hook part 54 is formed between the pocket 52 and an engagement hole 53. A projection part 56 for the engagement with the engagement hole 53 is installed on the other retainer part 5B. After the rolling balls 4 are accommodated into the pocket 52, the projection parts 5A and 5B are joined by engaging the projection part 56 with the engagement hole 53. In particular, the retainer is constituted of the composite material consisting of PEEK resin filled with PTFE, aramid fibers, and MoS2.
