SAFETY DEVICE LIFTER IN STAIRCASE LIFT

PURPOSE:To obtain a device easily built with a simple structure for surely stopping a lifter by mounting a weight unit, which tilts an operating lever by detecting a moving speed change of the lifter, to the operating lever, and opposedly providing a sensor for controlling a driving gear of the lifter by detecting elevation of the operating lever. CONSTITUTION:A lower end of an operating lever 12 is pivotally mounted to a lifter 4 and made possible to rise and fall, and a weight unit 16, which holds the operating lever 12 in a vertically provided condition with an elastic plate 17 into elastic contact and also tilting the operating lever 12 by detecting a moving speed change of the lifter 4, is adjustably mounted to an upper end of the operating lever 12, further a microswitch 19 for controlling a driving gear 9 of the lifter 4 by detecting a rise/fall of the operating lever 12 is opposedly provided. By this constitution, relating to a rapid change of a running speed of the lifter 14, inertia of the weight unit 16 is well utilized to tilt the operating lever 12 by applying rotary moment, thus to stop the driving gear 9 of the lifter 4 by actuating the microswitch 19.
