Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the method for lowering the COD in the waste water in production of the pulp recovered from waste thermosensitive paper. CONSTITUTION:This treatment method for waste water consists of adding BOD component-contg. materials (polysaccharides, oligosaccharides, monosaccharides, protein, lower alcohol, etc.) to the waste water produced in the stage for producing the recovered pulp from the waste paper raw materials including the waste thermosensitive paper to adjust the ratio of BOD/ COD to >=0.3, then subjecting the water to an activated sludge treatment.
