Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To enable control of changes in the peak value of pressure of a pressure pulse with time and/or alignment of a pressure pulse source relative to a subject to be treated acoustically, during operation of the pressure pulse source. CONSTITUTION: A pressure pulse source includes a focusing lens 5 used for focusing the generated pressure pulses to a focal region, the focusing lens 5 having at least one image forming zone IZ and at least one measuring zone MZ2, MZ7. In the measuring zones MZ2, MZ7, pressure sensors PS2, PS7 including respective piezoelectric polymer sheets are mounted on the surface of the focusing lens 5 forming an acoustic exit surface.
