Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide such a light amplifier that excitation light is inputted to a plurality of doped fiber light amplifiers from one excitation light generating device and, at the same time, the amplification factor of each doped fiber light amplifier does not deteriorate. CONSTITUTION:This light amplifier is constituted of a plurality of doped fiber light amplifiers which are provided in the middles of light signal transmission lines 1 and amplify light signals transmitted through the transmission lines 1 upon inputting excitation light, excitation light generating device 4 which generates the excitation light to be inputted to the amplifiers 2, and light switch 10 which makes the excitation light generated by the device 4 to be successively inputted to the amplifiers in time division.
