CONDENSED IMIDAZOLE DERIVATIVE, ITS PRODUCTION AND AGENT OF CIRCULATORY ORGAN CONTAINING THE SAME DERIVATIVE

PURPOSE:To obtain a new condensed imidazole derivative exhibiting resistance against angiotensin II, having continuous vasodepressive action and effective as therapeutic agent a for circulatory disease. CONSTITUTION:A compound, e.g. 2-n-butyl-[2'-carboxybiphenyl-4-yl) methyl]benzimidazole, expressed by formula I (R and R are H, OH, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, cyano, etc.; R is H, halogen, nitro, cyano, etc.; R is H, OH, alkyl, alkoxy, etc.; X and Y are C or N; Z is C, O, S, etc.; (n)is 1-3). The compound is obtained by reacting the compound expressed by formula II with a compound expressed by formula III (V is halogen-alkylsulfonyloxy, etc.) in the presence of a deacidifying agent (e.g. Na0H) in a solvent such as ether at -20-100 deg.C for 2-48Hr.
