CONSTITUTION:This sludge discharge device for discharging the sludge from a settling basin 7 has a water temp. gage 1 for measuring the water temp. of this settling basin 7, a discharge rate computing section (discharge rate computing device 2) for computing the sludge discharge rate in accordance with the water temp. of the settling basin 7 obtd. by this water temp. gage 1 and a sludge discharge section (sludge discharge pump) for discharging the sludge from the settling basin 7 in accordance with the sludge discharge rate obtd. by this discharge rate computing section.
