Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable application event to such a specification with no battery and simplify an equipment structure as well as to bring a stable heating characteristic into full play by using at least one pole of a multipolar generator as an exclusive power source for a positive temperature coefficient heater, in a starter for a ship propeller which performs a job for fuel increment supply control at time of engine starting with this PTC heater. CONSTITUTION:A positive temperature coefficient thermistor 64 is energized with current from a magneto coil out of a multipolar generator when an engine is started, whereby resistance is suddenly enhanced along with a temperature rise, and it is quickly reached up to an equilibrium temperature where heat generation and heat balance on the basis of a temperature difference between the inner part and the circumference are well balanced. Since thermowax 67 is not yet heated at the initial stage, a starter jet needle 80 is situated upward, and fuel is supplied from a starter jet 82. With the engine turned to a warm-up state, the wax 67 is fully heated into expansion, through which the starter needle 80 is moved to the side of the starter jet 82 and closed, thus a fuel increment supply is controllable within the specified time after engine starting.
