PNEUMATIC TIRE FOR HIGH SPEED TRAVELLING

PURPOSE:To reduce tire noise in a tire on which plural inclined lateral grooves are provided in each land-part train confined by main grooves extending in the circumferential direction of a tread part by constituting the lateral grooves in at least one of the land-part trains by cross grooves and interrupted grooves. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical tread rubber is arranged on the tread part 4 on the outside in the radial direction of a belt layer and a reinforcing layer, plural wide, main grooves 20 axially arranged at specific intervals are formed on the outer surface of the tread rubber, and land-part trains 24 are confined between the main grooves 20 and between the main grooves 20 and both tread ends 22. In such a tire, lateral grooves in the intermediate land-part trains 24b, 24d are constituted by lateral grooves 25b, 25d, cross grooves 26 extending over the full width of the intermediate land-part trains 24b, 24d, and interrupted grooves 29 whose ends 27 near the tread ends 22 are opened into the main grooves 20a, 20d and which are interrupted on the way across the width of the intermediate land-part trains 24b, 24d.
