Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To improve the surface remaining stresses with high reliability to the same degree as shot peening by refraining from use of solid particles such as Fe balls or glass beads, and constructing the device comparatively simply. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a specimen is bombarded with liquid particles accelerated to a high speed upon dispersing a number of bubbles therein. and these bubbles are crushed through utilization of pressure rise caused by the bombardment (checking). If the blast is performed with a high pressure pump having for example a discharge pressure of several hundreds of kg/cm and a nozzle combination having a well deviced section configuration, a high speed stream of liquid particles is obtained in which bubbles due to cabitation are dispersed. Therein it is recommended to bombard the specimen with the high speed stream while the nozzle/specimen distance is held approx. several hundreds times as large as the bore. |
