AUTOMATIC OPERATING METHOD OF STACKER OR RECLAIMER

PURPOSE:To provide an automatic operating method of a stacker or a reclaimer not requiring experience or skill of an operator but obtaining high operation efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A light wave type distance detector, which can measure a coal pile in its entire width from above, is provided on a body of a stacker or the like operating at a coal yard, and after finishing the daily stowage or delivery operation work, the top height of the piles are automatically measured reticulately by means of the light wave type distance detector while operating a stacker or the like from a starting point to a terminal point of each pile, and stock amount controlling data, including stowage configuration, stowage amount, additional amount possible to be stowed and work starting position of the following day, are prepared by calculating from the detected value. By inputting the day's work starting position, starting height, working pattern and schedule into a control device of the stacker or the like at the work starting time each day based on the data of the work closeting time of the preceding day, the stacker or the like can be moved automatically to the work starting position or to the work starting height and an automatic stowage or delivery can be started.
