Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To reduce the transfer of heat in a cold bath liquid and to hold necessary temp. over a long operation time by substantially avoiding the mixing of a hot bath and a cold bath by the heat insulation of the heat exchanger of a cold trap or a drying chamber. CONSTITUTION: The specimen to be tested heated in a hot bath chamber D is extracted from a hot bath liquid within the basket P on a holding apparatus to be fed to a drying chamber A. The specimen is dried between two hot plates in the drying chamber A but the hot bath liquid bonded to the specimen and the basket P is condensed by a water cooler to be returned to a hot bath through a pipe. Next, the basket P housing the specimen is fed to the adjacent cold bath chamber B and perfectly immersed in a cold bath liquid to be cooled and subsequently transferred into a cold trap chamber C to be cooled at temp. lower than that of the cold bath by about 5-30 deg.C and the volatile compd. bonded to the specimen and the basket P is evaporated and condensed in a cold trap to be recovered on the bottom part to be returned to the cold bath by a pump. By this constitution, the loss of a soln. and the transfer of heat by mixing are avoided at a time of a thermal shock test. |
