Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To uniformly heat a billet varying an outside diameter along an axial direction by a high frequency heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:Plural billets W are tractically fed into a furnace core tube 3 with single file and the billet W is induction-heated at each feeding position A1, A2 with each high frequency coil 4 arranged at relevant positions. Coiling diameter of the high frequency coil is varied along an axial direction and the distance to the diameter direction between the billet and the high frequency coil is made constant over the whole length of billet so as to be able to uniformly heat the billet irrespective of small diameter and large diameter parts. Uneven temp. in the billet is eliminated by a heat holding furnace 6 provided on the halfway of a chuter 2.
