Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To avoid generation of a parasitic arc by leading-in an annular passage between a nozzle end member and a burner outer casing to the height of an inlet and an outlet for cooling medium for the burner outer casing and providing a connecting part for a medium supply line at the rear end. CONSTITUTION: An annular clearance 27 to flow a plasma gas is provided between an electrode 10 and a nozzle end member 11, and annular passage 75, 76 are provided between the nozzle end member 11 and a burner outer casing 73. Insulation tube 36, 39 are provided so that their inner walls electrically isolate the nozzle end member 11 from the burner outer casing 73 partially. Then, the annular passage 75 between the nozzle end member 11 and the burner outer casing 73 is lead to the height of an inlet and outlet 61, 62 for cooling medium for the burner outer casing. A supply line connecting part 55 having gaseous medium source 56 is provided at the rear end that receives pressure. Thereby, a risk to generate a parasitic arc is avoided to enable an AC operation.
