Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide an infrared radiation device and its manufacture. CONSTITUTION: An infrared radiation device is provided having a metallic reflective layer attached to a back face of a jacket and to a thermal conductor arranged in the jacket made of quartz glass or quartz material. In order to improve thermal stability of the reflective layer, a protective coating composed of zirconium dioxide, silicon dioxide and/or tin dioxide is attached to the reflective layer. This protective coating can be manufactured by using pyrolytic organic zirconium compound, silicon compound and/or tin compound.
