MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent leakage magnetic fluxes from affecting the peripheral regions in magnetic disks and to increase a memory capacity by disposing a cylindrical spacer consisting of a magnetic material to be fitted onto a spindle hub between plural sheets of the magnetic disks. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical spacer 9 consisting of the magnetic material to be fitted onto the spindle hub 5 is disposed between plural sheets of the magnetic disks 2 of this magnetic disk device. The inner peripheries of the magnetic disks 2 exist in proximity to each other via the spindle hub 5 on the outer side in the diametral direction or a rotor magnet 4 and the magnetic disks are liable to receive the influence of the leakage magnetic fluxes but the cylindrical spacer 9 consisting of the magnetic material shields the leakage magnetic fluxes and prevents the intersection of the magnetic fluxes with the magnetic disks g. A magnetic head cannot move in the inner peripheral regions of the magnetic disks g by as much as the thickness of the spacer 9 but this region is the region where the spacer, such as aluminum, originally exists and, therefore, the memory capacity increases by as much as the influence of the leakage magnetic fluxes.
