LATERAL PRESSURE REDUCING STRUCTURE FOR WALL

PURPOSE:To reduce design earth pressure by continuously providing cantilever structures which vertically partitions a soil part outside an underground wall and by reducing soil weight working on a lower part of the wall. CONSTITUTION:Outside an underground wall 1 of an underground structure, structures 2 are continuously provided in the cantilever state, and a soil part B is vertically partitioned. The structure 2 is placed so that its tip end goes along a breaking face A and provided in plural stages when necessary. A soil weight working on the underground wall 1 is made so as not to be increased at the lower part. By this, earth pressure can be equalized and design can be made advantageous.
