Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a tampon where a continuous filament is used in a way that almost none of the free ends of filaments come out on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION: A tampon is formed by using a continuous filament where the tow of artificial fibers, the moisture retention capacity of which is at least 1000wt.% is taken as a base as a raw material. The tampon is formed of substantially continuous filaments arranged parallel to the axis. The free ends of the filaments substantially exist only on two cross section surfaces.
