SPEAKER EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To improve the reproduction of a low frequency band and to expand the sound pressure level even when the cabinet size is made small by providing a bass reflex port to a lower part of a rear plate of the cabinet and providing an elastic plate made of a material of air-tight structure to the rear side plate. CONSTITUTION:In order to change an inverted phase of the sound from a woofer 11 and the sound from a bass reflex port 13 even a little, a phase change due to a propagation distance is utilized. That is, a diaphragm of the woofer 11 and the bass reflex port 13 are located as far as possible to each other. Thus, a sound exit is provided to a position as far as possible from the aperture of the bass reflex port 13. That is, the air-tight elastic board (frame) 15 is provided to the circumference except the upper part of a cabinet 14 and the rear side is placed in close contact with the wall, then the aperture of the bass reflex port 13 is provided to the lower part of the cabinet surrounded by the elastic board (frame) 15 so as to reduce the phase difference between the sound from the woofer 11 and the sound from the bass reflex port 13 thereby realizing abundant low pitched sound reproduction.
