Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To improve a mechanism for applying a tension imparting adhesive to the tape advancing to the mandrel of a spiral tube winding machine. CONSTITUTION: One or more tapes 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e pulled toward the mandrel of a tube winding machine are passed on vacuum chambers 24a, 24b, 24c, 24d, 24e to receive tension. An adhesive is applied to one or more tapes present at a place near to a vacuum chamber. If the tube winding machine is stopped by any reason, the vacuum chamber holds the adhesive coated tapes to a tensioned state and these tapes move to be detached from the contact with an adhesive coating member. The lengths of the respective tapes being in contact with the adhesive coating member are adjusted to adjust the amt. of the adhesive applied to the tapes. In order to accelerate the effect of the adhesive, the respective tapes are heated after the coating with the adhesive.
