Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To improve the quality of the cast ingot by arranging plural pieces of refractory columns with recessed parts on the side front surface parallel to the molten steel flowing passage of the tundish, and flocculating the inclusion in the molten steel vortex generated on the surface of the refractory columns. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of refractory columns 1 with recessed parts on the side surface are arranged parallel in the molten steel passage toward the immersing nozzle 5 from the pouring nozzle 8 in the tundish 2. In such a way, vortex is generated on the surface of the refractory column 1 in the molten steel. The inclusion is flocculated in the vortex of the molten steel generated on the surface of the refractory column 1. Then, the inclusion is separated from the molten steel by sticking or floating on the surface of the refractory column 1. Therefore, the molten steel is cleaned and the productive capability of the continuous casting process can be improved. |
