HOSE NIPPLE INSERTING FORCE MEASURING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the errors of the measured value and judgment errors by performing the fixing-positioning of a hose, the insertion-pull-out of a measuring nipple, the measurement of its inserting force, and the like all by mechanical work. CONSTITUTION:A hose 1 is fixed to a clamper 10, and a chuck 50 is operated to clamp the tip part of the hose 1 by a chuck hand 54. At this time, the hose 1 is positioned at the center in a hose accommodating part 54b by a sponge 55. A probe 20 is then inserted into the hose 1 by a slide unit 40 so as to measure the reaction by a strain gauge 30 and to display it on an indicator 31. The outer diameter enlarged part of the hose 1 caused by the insertion of the probe 20 is absorbed by the gap in the accommodating part 54b and the expansion/contraction of the sponge 55. Upon the termination of measurement, the probe 20 is pulled out into a specified position outside the hose 1. Measurement is thus performed all by mechanical work, so that the error of the measured value and judgment errors are hardly generated.
