SUPPLY PIRN FOR DOUBLE TWINING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To unwind a supply pirn smoothly without causing yarn severance by forming the innermore portion corresponding to approx. 1/4 thru 1/2 of the total wound amount of a yarn package to be taken up on a long stretching bobbin in the style of filling wind, and supplying the outermore portion corresponding to 3/4 thru 1/2 as remainder in the style of warp wind. CONSTITUTION:A yarn package 5 wound on a long stretching bobbin 4 of at least 380mm long to be fitted on a spindle of a double twining machine is so formed that its innermore portion A corresponding to approx. 1/4 thru 1/2 of the total wound amount is performed in the filling wind. Therein the construction shall be such that at least the top of the traverse width of this filling wind reaches the top of the bobbin 4. The portion B as remainder corresponding to 3/4 thru 1/2 of the total wound amount of package is continuously taken up in the warp wind with which the traverse width of the filling wind is shrunk gradually.
