SEMICONDUCTOR STORAGE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To evaluate a difference in access time from a difference in circuit configuration only in a strict sense by making the circuit configuration changeable by means of an electric signal or electrical means from the outside. CONSTITUTION:The circuit configuration of this semiconductor storage device is constituted so that the configuration can be changed by impressing an electric signal from the outside or using an electrical means from the outside. Namely, inverters 1-3, switching transistors 11 and 12, Vcc level detection circuits 21 and 22, and an input signal Ext.phi are provided and the number of delaying stages of the inverters 1-2 is changed depending upon whether or not the voltage applied across an external pin is higher than Vcc. When, for example, such circuit is provided in a word line trigger signal generating section, it can be evaluated that how much the access time can be shortened in a certain semiconductor storage device by making the rising timing of a word line faster. Therefore, a difference in access time can be evaluated from a difference in circuit configuration only in a strict sense.
