ADAPTER STARTING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To efficiently start an adapter by starting an adapter control program while skipping the down load of the control program at the time of flagging '1' in a flag area. CONSTITUTION:When the adapter control program is down loaded from a main memory 2 to a built-in memory 12 at the time of adapter initialization, the flag is set in a flag storage area 12a, and a program clearing the work area of the built-in memory 12 is inputted in the first area of the adapter control program. After the first adapter initialization, the down load of the adapter control program is omitted to run the adapter control program at the time of restarting when a fault occurs during the execution of the adapter control program. Therefore, the down load of the adapter control program which is performed every time the fault occurs can be omitted.
