PROCESSING METHOD FOR COLOR DOT

PURPOSE:To print a high-quality color image by using dot patterns forming different dot angles for each color printing plate and compensating reduction of the number of reproduced gradations by devised arrangement of data on threshold value. CONSTITUTION:Three-color data obtd. by the color separation of a color image are transformed into data for printing, a combination of the resulting data on cyan, magenta, yellow and black printing plates or single-color data are inputted and binary coding is carried out while producing data on dot patterns having different dot gradients. The occurrence of moire can be minimized at the time of color printing and the deterioration of image quality can be prevented by devising the arrangement of data on threshold value to a set of dots.
