Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To remove causes for producing defective products in a stage of forming a parison by providing a construction for sensing the weight of a gob distributed to a parison forming means with a sensing means and controlling a gob forming means so that the sensed weight may attain a prescribed weight. CONSTITUTION:Molten glass in a spout 1 is extruded through an orifice 2 with a clay plunger 5 and cut with a shear 3 to form a gob, which is then distributed to a parison forming means with a gob distributing means and formed into a parison. In the process, a straight-line position of the plunger 5 is sensed with position sensing means (1b), (2b) and (3b) and the weight of the gob distributed to the parison forming means is sensed with a gob weight sensing means based on a signal for the straight-line position of the plunger 5 in press forming. The gob forming means is then controlled with a gob weight controlling means (system) 9 so that the sensed weight may attain a prescribed weight.
