METHOD FOR CULTIVATING PLANT

PURPOSE:To accelerate the growth of a plant in a preferable state by disposing an inner chamber in a substantially closed state in an outer chamber, controlling the temperature and humidity of the inner chamber, forming the walls of the outer chamber from light-shielding materials and irradiating the plant with an artificial light in a desired state. CONSTITUTION:An outer chamber 2 is formed of light-shielding walls 1, and a plant in an inner chamber 3 is subjected in response to the cultivation condition of the plant to a day time-corresponding time zone in which the plant is irradiated with lamps 29 having a light of a desired luminous intensity and to a night time-corresponding time zone in which the lamps 29 are put out. The temperature of water in a water tank 18 in the inner chamber 3 is controlled with a temperature controller 19 and, if necessary, cold water is made to flow in a cooling pipe 20. The inner chamber 3 is cooled with a cooling device 26 from outside.
