RESET CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To prevent an increase in current consumption which is caused at the start of oscillation by generating no reset pulse and stopping the oscillation when an external signal which is shorter than certain constant value is inputted at the stop of the oscillation, and carrying on the oscillation once resetting operation is performed. CONSTITUTION:A counter 6 is used to stop the oscillation of an oscillation circuit 3 which starts once when the reset signal which is shorter than the certain constant value is inputted and no effective resetting is not caused inside; when a reset signal which is longer than the certain constant width is inputted, the oscillation circuit 3 which starts oscillating once is made to oscillate continuously as it is and the effective resetting is caused inside. When the reset signal input is short, a reset pulse to the inside is ineffective and an oscillation stop pulse is still effective. Therefore, the reset pulse to the inside is not generated and the oscillation is stopped. Once the oscillation state is entered, the oscillation stop pulse is still ineffective, so the oscillation is not stopped with the reset signal. Consequently, the increase in the current consumption is precluded.
