DOCUMENT CREATION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the operability by displaying the number of lines in a visible state without displaying a line feed display corresponding to respective line feed data when the continuation of lines is detected where only line feed data is present. CONSTITUTION:A storage means 1 is stored with document data. A display means 2 displays the document data. A detecting means 3 detects the continuation of the lines where only line feed data is present when the document data are displayed on the display means 2. A display control means 4 displays the number of those lines on the display means 2 in the visible state when the continuation of the lines is detected by the detecting means 3. For example, a line feed mark and a numerical indicating its number or an array of successive line feed marks is displayed as many as the line feed data in a row direction without making the line feed display corresponding to the respective line feed data. Therefore, number of the lines where only the line feed marks are present on a display screen decreases.
