DEVICE FOR WARNING AND GUIDING AT PLATFORM

PURPOSE:To prevent the accident of passengers falling on a line or touching trains by directing a forcible warning device to operate if there is any output indicative of detection by a passenger detector while the approach or movement of a train is detected. CONSTITUTION:When that side portion of a platform 1 which is on one side of a stairway 2 connected to the platform 1 and leading to an elevated bridge and on the side of the front of the exit of the stairway 2 is defined as an area C requiring special attention, vehicle detectors S1, S2 for detecting the presence of any vehicle moving on a line facing the area C requiring special attention and a vehicle detector S5 for detecting whether or not vehicles go out of the area C requiring special attention are provided. A passenger detector S3 for detecting the presence of passengers within the area C requiring special attention is provided above the area C requiring special attention. A forcible warning device 5 comprising a light emitting device 6 which when passengers are on the platform 1 flashes light before a vehicle arrives or while a vehicle on the line is ready to start and a voice transmitting device 24 for producing chimes or voice is directed to operate.
