TIMER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the circuit scale by composing the device of a counter, plural numbered reload register, a pointer circuit, and a device which controls them. CONSTITUTION:Time data dataA - dataF are set in the reload registers L1 - L6 respectively. A reload register specified by the pointer circuit P is, for example, the register L1. The contents of the register L1 are transferred to the counter A1 and the reload register specified by the circuit P is set to the register L2. The counter A counts down in synchronism with a count clock X and when the counter A1 overflows, an overflow signal SA is generated. A control circuit B2 detects the signal SA and generates output signals U, V, and W. At this time, a control circuit B1 detects the signal SA, the contents of the register L2 specified by the circuit P are transferred to the counter, and the reload register specified by the circuit P is set to the register L3. Similarly, the processes are repeated.
