Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the calender shaving resistance of a non-magnetic supporter by using a polyester film simultaneously containing a filler adsorbing base indicator bromothymol blue in blue and having basicity and an organic filler as the non-magnetic supporter and forming magnetic layers on the surfaces of the non-magnetic supporter. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film simultaneously containing a filler adsorbing base indicator bromothymol blue in blue and having basicity and soft organic particles is employed as a non-magnetic supporter. Al2O3 is typical as the filler displaying such basicity. A BET value of 5m /g or more is proper as the size of the basic filler. Styrene, silicon and acrylic resins, etc., are proper as the organic filler. These substances are used for improving cushioning properties reducing the pressure of a calender, and employed simultaneously with the basic filler. Accordingly, a magnetic recording tape having excellent calender shaving resistance is acquired.
