SLAG WOOL MANUFACTURING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To raise the quality of the slag wool by blowing the oxygen-rich air upwards into an upright furnace with multiple swirls formed to obtain stable molten slag and changing the molten slag into fibers in a high speed rotating body of an internally cooling type and a compressed air flow and collecting the fibers. CONSTITUTION:Oxygen-rich air 7 is introduced into a furnace from respective burners the sludge and a combustion assisting agent so as to form swirls. The sludge is pushed towards the furnace wall by the centrifugal force of the swirl, and it melts on the furnace wall face to become slag. This slag 9 flows down on the wall face and is discharged from a slag tap hole 11. The molten slag 9 discharged from the slag tap hole 11 passes a slag trough 21 and flows down to a spinner wheel 23a through a turn dish 22. The molten slag that flows down attaches the rotating spinner wheel 23a and the molten slag attaching it becomes fibers by the centrifugal force of the spinner wheel 23a, and the fibers are blown off and collected.
