ACARICIDE AND ACARID REPELLENT

PURPOSE:To obtain the title formulation having excellent adaptability to living space, safety and high effects comprising a compound such as diphenyl, diphenylmethane, benzophenone or dibenzyl ketone as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An acaricide or an acarid repellent comprising a compound shown by formula I or formula II (X1 to X3 are single bond or 1-3C bifunctional hydrocarbon residue; Y is 0, CO, COO or CHOH with the proviso that a case wherein Y is COO, X2 is single bond and X3 is single bond or methylene group is omitted) as an active ingredient in the form of coating compound, adhesive, emulsifying agent, dispersant, suspension, spray or aerosol. The acaricide or the acarid repellent can be applied to cultivated fields of agricultural products, orchards, ordinary houses, grain warehouses, furniture, carpets, TATAMI (straw matting), closets, porches, toilet rooms, etc., by placing, spraying, coating, sticking, etc.
