PROCESSING SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To reduce nonlinear distortion while reducing the number of signal processing circuits by making the signal processing to improve S/N in the output stage of a sensor, in the, sonar consisting of an array of plural sensors. CONSTITUTION:Sound signals 10 to Sn are converted into electric signals by sensors 1a to 1n, noises mixing in electric signals are reduced by signal processing circuits 2a to 2n, phase shifts of several sensor outputs are made by phasing circuits 3a to 3n, all sensor outputs are added by adding circuits 4a to 4n and beam outputs 101 to Bn are obtained. Signal processing may be made only for sensors 1a to 1n-x. The number of signal processing circuits can be made small where this corrective action alone is good enough because it is seldom that noises of sensors to compose an array are uniform, and noises of sensors, etc., near the vibrating bottom plate are loud.
