Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To effectively suppress surge induced in a winding from which a brush is separated by connecting circumferentially adjacent commutators through a conductor. CONSTITUTION:A pair of radially opposing commutators are connected through a large number of commutators 1 arranged in the circumferential direction at predetermined intervals. Circumferentially adjacent ones of the large number of commutators 1 are connected through a conductor 3 comprising a resistor. According to the constitution, current (i) flowing through a winding 2 from which brushes 4, 4 are separated and surge voltage VL to be induced in the winding 2 can be suppressed effectively by appropriately selecting the resistance r/2 of the conductor 3 at a low level.
