Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To industrially obtain the subject compound useful as an intermediate for precise chemicals by isomerizing 2,4-difluoro-1-bromobenzene in the presence of an aluminum halide or tert-butoxide of an alkali metal. CONSTITUTION:2,4-Difluoro-1-bromobenzene is isomerized in the presence of an aluminum halide (aluminum chloride is especially preferred) or tert-butoxide of an alkali metal to afford 3,5-difluoro-1-bromobenzene. The aluminum chloride is preferably present in an amount of 0.1-1.0mol based on 1mol 2,4-difluoro-1- bromobenzene to carry out isomerization at 100-170 deg.C. The isomerization is preferably performed in the presence of 0.01-0.5mol tert-butoxide of the alkali metal and 100-1500ml solvent at -20 to +70 deg.C.
