VOICE RECOGNITION TELEPHONE SET

PURPOSE:To prevent an incoming phone call from being given up by a caller due to misunderstanding of absence of a called party by devising the telephone set such that the line is connected to the telephone set and a message is sent to the caller when the telephone set recognizes a voice sound uttered by the called party in response to a ring tone based on a call signal from the caller. CONSTITUTION:Upon the detection of a call signal from a caller, an NCU 1 rings a bell and outputs an incoming signal to a control section 8. When the called party is on other job and cannot immediately reply the call, the called party replies the call in voice through a microphone 5. When the called party uses the microphone 5 to input a voice signal (such as holding), a voice recognition section 6 recognizes the voice signal and outputs a hold command signal to the control section 8. Then the control section 8 controls the NCU 1 to loop the line and activates a voice synthesis section 3 to send a message such as 'I am just busy with other job. Please hold a line for a moment.' to the caller based on a message data registered in a 1st memory 4 to bring the telephone set into the holding state.
