Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce the overall width of the analyzer by placing at least one of polychromatic meter and monochromatic meter in vertical position. CONSTITUTION:A polychromatic meter 20 is capable of measuring at a time the contents of multiple elements contained in a sample by detecting simultaneously intensities of light beams corresponding to multiple preset required multiple wavelengths. A monochromatic meter 30 is of a so-called Zernitana type capable of measuring the content of any one element only of the sample by detecting the light intensity of any one wavelength not measured with the polychromatic meter 20. The polychromatic mete 20 only is placed vertically, namely the optical axis of the optical system is arranged in the direction perpendicular to the vertical surface.
