Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain a disc member which has high extending ratio, resistance for thermal cracking, high frictional coefficient and resistance for fatigue by composing the disc member of compact vermiculite graphite cast iron whose ferrite ratio is substantially ranged between 50 and 70% and containing specified amounts of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ni, Mo and Mg. CONSTITUTION:A brake disc member is made of compact vermiculite graphite cast iron whose ferrite ratio is substantially ranged between 60 and 70%. The chemical composition is as follows: C:3.2 to 3.7wt%, Si:1.8 to 2.4wt%, Mn:0.6 to 0.7wt%, P:0.03wt% or lower, S:0.03wt% or lower, Ni:1.0 to 3.0wt%, Mo:0.2 to 0.6wt%, and Mg: 0.004 to 0.015wt%. Thermal conductivity, resistance for thermal cracking, mechanical strength and durability are thus improved. This is suitable for a brake disc member for a high-speed vehicle. |
