USE:A compound containing two rings has low viscosity and a proper liquid crystal temperature range and provides a liquid crystal composition having reduced viscosity without excessively reducing an N-1 point and a compound containing three rings has a low viscosity and a high transparent point, slightly suppresses rise in viscosity of the composition and raises an N-1 point.
