PACING CATHETER

PURPOSE:To allow the easy insertion of the above catheter into the bioorgans and the stable holding thereof in a prescribed position by bending, in a free state, the front end part thereof in a 1st direction and the part on the rear side of the front end part in a 2nd direction different from the 1st direction, respectively at specific radii of curvature. CONSTITUTION:This catheter is formed by bending a 1st segment 15 and a 2nd segment 13 in the directions reverse from each other. The radii R2, R1 of the segments 13, 15 are respectively specified to 20 to 200mm, 10 to 100mm. The front end of the catheter comes into contact with the wall on the lower left of the right atrium 28 and hardly passes the valvura tricuspidalis 42 if the radius R2 of curvature is below 20mm. The front end of the catheter comes into contact with the septal wall 44 partitioning the right atrium 38 and the left atrium 40 and hardly passes the valvura tricuspidalis 42 if the R2 exceeds 200mm.
