EAR-INSERTION TYPE ACOUSTIC UNIT AND ITS COVER

PURPOSE:To obtain an ear-inserting type acoustic unit which does not give unpleasant feeling to a user even if it is installed for long period and in which the occurrence of a fault is less by forming the surface of at least a part which is inserted into an external auditory meatus in a case frame by means of a water penetration layer and providing a water holding layer at the inner side of the water penetration layer. CONSTITUTION:A cover 104 coated on a whole earphone consists of the water permeable layer 21 which is brought into contact with the external auditory meatus and absorbs water and the water holding layer 22 holding water penetrating the water penetrating layer 21. The cover 104 has dual construction provided with the water permeable layer 21 on an outer side and the water holding layer 22 on the inner side. The water permeable layer 21 is formed by a vapor permeable resin thin film and the water holding layer 22 is formed by a high moisture content gel forming material thin film. Consequently, it fits to the external auditory meatus, absorbs sweat and the like occurring in the ear and can emit it to outside. Thus, the unpleasant feeling of the user owing to long period installation is eliminated and the occurrence of the fault in the unit stored inside is reduced.
